dripping noise from A/C @90+ degrees????? (archive)

1 day old 740i Sport. Just came back from a midday run, the heat outside is 90+. While parking I heard a dripping nose that seemed to come from behind the center console. Is that water dripping because of condensation?
Also, I noticed that the fan is belt-driven. How is the heat dissipated when the engine is off? All my other cars have had electric fans.
