Bettie now has 2 new dual round rolled end chromed exhaust tips. She looks really great,(IMHO), with dual round tips on each side, "just a little muscle showing". I created a template from the tips, and cut the rear valence openings myself. Considering this is made of solid black plastic, it was very easy to cut the openings with a hacksaw blade, a file and cleaned up with sandpaper. The muffler shop had to fabricate shorter "Y" shaped adapters because the OEM mufflers hang so close to the rear valence, the tips wouldn't sit back far enough to look right. Once he figured out what was needed, then it went together pretty fast. One thing he did was lower the OEM muffler so that its outlet pipe was at the same height I wanted the tips. That is, the mufflers now hang lower than the OEM position. He heated and then bent the exhaust pipe just in front of the mufflers and extended the clamps at the rear to position them. The mufflers are at same height as the spare tire enclosure, so it looks like they belong there. Many of the aftermarket "Cat Back" systems are mounted at this height from photos I've seen of them.

If anyone wants more details, or contact info I will gladly provide them. I'll get some photos done ASAP, but just look at Nico's photos, except my tips fit up into the rear valence a bit higher than his do.

Next lowering springs, Bilsteins, 18" wheels and tires, and Bettie will be just about perfect, to my eye. Unless I get those HID lights & window tint done, then she will be really perfect! Anyone ever rear "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" to your kids??? Sounds a bit like this. ;-)
