"Life Time" bothers me a bit. There have been a couple of posts about tranny failures around 100-150k miles. However, I also know that if sealed reasonably well, the fluid will last a long time, if the tranny design is OK. The fluids had long life in some trannys 15 years ago when I was involved in making additives for the fluids. Since I have one vehicle at 97K, I am waiting for any sign of problems. I guess that the next time I have any justification for a visit to my local independent shop, I will have it changed. The dealer won't do it on either of mine now.
