Yes the monitor does fade in parts but then magically comes back to normal.
It has been fine the last couple of days as temperatures have cooled - I'm sure it is temp. related.
I'm may take monitor panel off and see what I find.

I have the same problem. Does yours sometimes fade in parts and then return as good as before?
I posted a question the same as yours before on the board and only got a sarcastic comment in return! I have pursued a number of avenues, however to date no luck. I will take to dealer to have the car put on the diagnostic computer, althgough I can predict their respomnse - You need a new module or screen. This will cost quite a bit here in Australia, however with your highly favourable exchange rate, the conversion may be a good option.
Please let me know if you get any where with this fault.
Anyone experienced the TV monitor fading to grey?
This seems to happen in hot weather and is intermittent.
