I've worked closely with the folks at XM, and aware that Sony has an exclusive (1 yr.) to provide consumer electronics for XM service (a/market car audio, portables, etc.).

Once the exclusive expires, then there will be a whole bunch of companies coming online for both A/M and OE products, such as: Alpine, Sharp, Pioneer, Audiovox, Clarion, etc.
