Go to the link at Edmunds.Com for good info and advice

I have a leased 98 740iL that is scheduled to go back in july of 2002. I enjoy the car a great deal but would like a newer model for the want of two things, xenon headlamps and navigation. I always assumed I would get another seven series but the new design of e65 is uninspiring at best. I love the way the e38 looks esp in black. I was even thinking of jumping ship to mercedes and getting an s class. With all the deals running on the e38s, should I try to terminate my lease early an get a 2001? should I wait until I get a chance to see e65 an get one then, get a cpo e38 (is it possible to lease cpo cars?), a new e39 in whats likely its last year, an e55, or an s class. Why cant bmw update the e38 a bit more stick the new engine in it put on the new 17" brakes and make my life a hell of a lot easier. Well I appreciate all responses.
