I have seen this problem on several of my cars when I topped the tank off and let the vehicle sit in real hot weather. The heat caused the fuel to expand and run out via an overflow tube. My 95' 740i which has been laid up for about 5 weeks while I have been away suddenly begain leaking fuel when I started it for the first time. Left about a 6 inch puddle in the garage, and a steady path of drips out to the driveway. It seems to be coming from a small rubber hose on the undercarrage about 18" in front of the passengers side rear wheel. After running for a couple of minutes, the leak seemed to disapperar. The hose dosen't seems to be dry-rotted or fatigued. Other than the replacement of the small hose, is there another larger problem to worry about? (Fuel pressure regulator?) Any advice would be appreciated.
