Consider waiting until the E65 debuts. BMW is at the threshold of a new standard with the E65. If you don't like the E65, then decide if another marque is more appealing.

The E38 & its design technology have been eclipsed by other mfrs. and by the E65. I would endure for a while longer, & see what the new equipment is like.
