Since the M5 engine is based upon our 4.4 it should be a easy swap, but why not leave the sport auto in? The 6 speed that comes with the M5 is really really loose in the shifter...

Just my 2 cents

I will be attempting the 740i sport to m5 engine upgrade in sept/oct. I will use the original 740i sport steptronic with the m5 engine. I have an engineering background and I know the engine will fit and run in the new 7er home. I just need to have the electronics communicate with each other.
