They should fit directly with those offsets. However, I'd say that a 17" wheel on the E38 does not give enough "visual impact", and I would say 18" is the least you should have on that car.

I was looking to buy a set of rims from a person who is selling a set of 17" King Germany. The front 8.5" have an off-set of 12.7 mm and the rear 10" have 19.05 mm. Will these fit, or will I need to track special spacers?
I own a 1998 740i.
