Thanks guys....I think I will get the post 95 740IL. Is the tranny ok on the 96, damn my dad's 94 740IL tranny broke down in 100K and put in a rebuilt one, feels like sh#t...So I dun wanna fall into da 7series mystery again. I am happy with my 1988 735i.. is healthier than the 94 even though is noiser. Let me know and thanks?

I am driving the E32 right now and I am wondering wat year should I get for the E38. I heard the early ones have a lot of problems on the engine and the tranny. So, which years one should I go for and which years one whould I stay away from? Any advice? Thanks
