I feel so frustrated keeping up with these on my windshield. When I took my car for some bodywork (paint job), one of the workers there ed the rear windshield of the car. He says the whole job of reomving & replacing a new windshield takes no more than 5 hours. I do not believe the guy. For some reason, I believe deep inside that they are incapable of doing such a job (the procedure they described to me to remove the pane scared the hell outta me- Plus the fact that they use "silicon" to replace a new pane... Im going insane... !
Can anyone please tell me :
1. How hard it is to accomplish such a job, and can a non-dealer do this kinda thing ?
2. What, in brief, is the exact procedure to be taken ?
3. How do I know it has been replaced correctly ?
I would appreciate any kind of advice, please.
Thanks.
