1. Etk Parts Manual 03/2001
For those of you not familiar with this item, it allows you to input your VIN number (or car description if your VIN is not picked up for some reason) and view ALL parts that are on your car. You can also view the part numbers, and the quantity of a particular part needed for that diagram. One of the most useful facilities is the ability to cross reference parts on different cars (i.e. if a part is present on an E30, you can see if it is also present on an E36, E46 et.). This new version has some updated functions - you can search graphically through the groups, with many smaller versions of each diagram appearing at once (this facilitates speedy location!). There is also now a facility to zoom in on the diagram.
This cd is new in and is the March 2001 edition, not January 2001 edition as previously advertised! This is the most current cd you can buy, and covers all cars, 1974 to 2001 (now including the Convertible E46 M3!). This cd comes complete with a price list. It is up to you to install the prices or not. I use them to gauge roughly what a part will cost. They are current at 16th March, but are not necessarily relevant to US or UK etc. prices.

2. ETM (Electrical Troubleshooting Manual)
This cd covers the following cars:
E30, E36, E31, Z3, E28, E34, E24, E23, E32 – for later cars, please see cd 4!
It covers all engines of all the above cars, up to 1998. This cd gives you full wiring diagrams, along with component locations and troubleshooting. For the more complicated cars, if the individual manual was to be printed it would run to more than 500 pages! These are the same manuals as the dealers use, and are very complete in their coverage. A must have for diagnosing those electrical gremlins or fitting that new part!

3. TIS (Technical Information System) 03/2001
This is the cd EVERYONE wants! It covers all aspects of repair and servicing for your car.
This cd covers the following cars:
E30, E36, Z3, E46, E46, E34, E39, E53(X5), E32, E38, E31, Z8 – for later cars, please see cd 4!
The TIS cd covers: Service Information, Repair Instructions, Technical Data, Tightening Torques, SI Techniques, Parts Bulletin & Special Tools.
Once again this is the disc that the dealers use to service and repair your car! It gives you step-by-step instructions, with many pictures & diagrams, and it far more detailed than any after-market service manual!

4. Technical Documentation Disc (TDD)
This is the latest disc from BMW and contains the TIS information and ETM information for the following cars:
E36 1998 – 2000 model years (all engines)
Z3 Roadster & Coupe 1998 – 2000 model years (all engines)
E46 328i & 323i 1998 – 2000 model years
E39 528i & 540i 1998 – 2000 model years
E38 740iL & 750iL 1998 – 2000 model years
However, the TIS information is not as easy to use as on the actual TIS disc due to the fact that the TDD program is used through an Acrobat reader (supplied), and does not have the easy to use menus and interface that the TIS has. However, the ETMs are complete and each run to about 4/500 pages. If repair and servicing of your car is your priority, it is recommended that this disc is bought together with the TIS disc!

5. Mobile Tradition Parts Catalogue
This is the Parts Catalogue for older cars and bikes, and covers:
Isetta, 1500-2000CS, 1502-2002tii, 2500-3.3Li, 2.5CS-3.0CSL, E12, E21, E23, E24, E30, Z1
It has the same functions as the ETK disc above, with full cross-referencing of parts etc. But it does not have zoom or graphic search. This cd comes with older price list!
N.B. ALL the above discs are GENUINE ex. Germany cd-roms, NOT BLUE BACKED CD-R COPIES, and come complete with packaging where appropriate. They run on Windows, and on stand alone PCs. They do not require special BMW hardware, and have been tested on Win 95,98se,ME, Win2000. The ideal screen resolution is 1024 x 768. The cds are MULTI – LANGUAGE, with you choosing at set-up. ALL worldwide BMWs are covered, and you choose the defaults, but you can always view the full worldwide catalogue of cars should you wish to.
ORDERING INFORMATION (ORDERS TAKEN NOW!)
“germany direct” is a UK based company, and although most discs are sourced from Germany, they are designed for Worldwide markets. Part numbers and schematic diagrams are the same in all markets. The cds cover both left and right hand drive vehicles.
ALL recently released BMW discs have built in copy protection. This is through the use of a small partioned file that does not get picked up by cd-burners. The cd-rw drive picks up what it thinks is the end of the disc and closes the disc to data, without copying the “unlock” file. The BMW information on this is copy-protection is supplied with the discs, and it does not affect the usage of the program at all. It will lock copied programs however after a preset usage time. I provide this information for those of you who expect to copy and sell non-original copies.
These discs will be in stock from Monday 2nd April. No Paypal money requests will be sent before then!
Payment in the US is by Paypal ONLY. This is for YOUR protection, as well as mine!
These discs are severely limited in numbers! They are available on a first come, first served basis! The only realistic way to process orders is for you to EMAIL me the attached order form. I will check stock, send you a confirmation email and send a Paypal money request. Once the Paypal request is paid, the disc(s) are effectively yours! However, funds will not be claimed from your Paypal account until the disc(s) ship. Please bear in mind that due to the popularity of these discs, it may take up to 14 days for delivery!
UK orders should be completed the same way as US orders (by filling in the order form). I will send payment details with the email confirming stock. UK deliveries are anticipated at 10 days!
Non US or UK orders can be placed the same way and paid for by Paypal if it is available in your country. If not, an International money order or a SWIFT direct bank transfer is acceptable.
