Anyone try to upgrade 2000 740iL to voice control? (archive)

I've been startig to research what would be involved in upgrading my 10/99 build 2000 740iL to add voice control. I've got navigation (4:3 screen) - anyone have any details on pinouts for the blue connector (looks like a splice on the phone cable from the web pics I've seen - can anyone confirm?} and does the computer/software need to be upgraded as well? Thanks.
