I've been waiting since January of last year for BMW to come out with a retrofitted wiring harness for my car. I was told that if I upgraded my phone from the CPT 7000, to the CPT 8000, when that became available, the CPT 8000's wiring harness would allow for the voice recognition, they were WRONG! The retrofit wiring harness was still being developed for my build.
I got a call several weeks ago from my Service Director, that the part will be available soon, that it has been developed and tested.
I'm hopeful this will happen very soon, the Voice Recognition module has been available in Europe for well over 2 years now.
