Jon has a very good point and observatoin. I test drove a LS 430 before I purchased my 740i Sport. I was quite surprised and impressed by LS 430. It is quite nimble and I can do 100 MPH double lane changes very easily.

So before one puts down LS 430, it does not hurt to test drive one first.

Jon,

I agree that there is no luxury-car-maker that puts you in touch with the road better than BMW does. Many other luxury cars close you off so tightly, make everything so soft and easy, that you might as well not even be driving. I don't like that either.

I didn't get a chance to drive the new Lexus LS430 for very long, but I was much more impressed with it than I was the MB S430. Frankly, I think I would take a Jaguar S-Type 4.0 over an S430 -- and if you want feel the most over-powered, uncommunicative steering you can find -- try the Jag.

Moreover, in Kevin's case, he's trying to connect himself with a company with decent customer service, and Lexus arguably has superior customer service.

Lexus, the luxury car for people who don't like to know they're driving!
