On a 740 you go at it from the front. Remove the bumper, grill, then the fan. Going from the back will work but removing the radiator is required which requires draining the coolant and will require more time. You will need two people to get the bumper on an off. Good luck.

Anybody got any tips on replacing the A/C condensor fan? (The electric fan behind the front grille)
It seems to just have 4 bolts and the assembly just lifts out but is it best to approach from the front or the back of the grille? It might be better to loosen the radiator and do it that way?

Any thoughts before I tackle the job?
I have a replacement fan on order as mine is not running despite getting a 12V feed so causing the A/C to cycle on HP trip, figure the motor is kaput.
