source for 12v in overhead of '01 models? (archive)

I want to tap into 12v in the overhead compartment where the garage door opener is, to install a radar detector. Does anyone know if there is a convenient 12v wire to tap into? Note, the '01 models are NOT setup like the many archive posts on this subject and there is no green wire going into a big white connector. There is, however, a tiny white 6 pin connector available but it doesn't appear to have 12v on any pin. I'm also concerned with the current carrying capability of the various wires as they are a much smaller guage than the older cars like my '97 540. Can anyone help?
