not that i have a solution... but i do know what you're talking about. my wife called me at work because her '96 750 had a flat (blowout). i pulled up with a 750 behind another 750 (folks were laughing). i used the stock jack, and to cut a long story short, it wasn't 15 minutes before i had pushed the car forward a good 12" forward, back onto the ground, with the jack leaning forward at a 45 degree angle. it was quite un-nerving... bad design.

Does anybody have a good replacement solution for the factory jacks. They are a serious hazard. It almost killed my wife when the jack sunk into the asphalt, tilted and let the car fall. I can't say enough how bad they really are. If there was anything that needed a NTSB recall this would be it. I can't believe that BMW hasn't had multiple law suits over these. Let me know if you have replaced your jack with one that really works.
