The 95 can have the block problem, but if it has already been replaced, this is no longer an issue. In fact, you may be getting a nearly new engine.

In addition, 95's have quite low cost compared to later models, partly due to the block repuation.

Finally, it has been reported here that 95s and 96s have a beefier transmission than 97s and later.
