The ticking sound is your stepper motors that control the air flow from your vents. I believe this applies to some '98 s. Any rate there is a S.I. out for the modification and it is a good one to get under warranty if you can. Parts cost $450. The link below is the mod. S.I. for the drain line. I have completed this on mine and it solved the gurgling sound. Parts cost ~$20. Time to complete 2 hours for average DIY.
