You won't believe what just happened to me! I just spend most of the day with my seven up on jack stands so that I could swap my worn out original front springs and struts with brand new Bilstein HD's and Dinan lowering springs. The job was cake, however it is very warm down here in Atlanta I am happy to be all showered up! While I was at it, I pulled out my steering components...tie rod ends and center link...very easy job while your at it...just pull both tie rod nuts and each nut on the steering arm and idler arm and the whole assembly pulls right out!

Anyway, I get all this work completed and can't wait to take it out for a test drive. The ride is so much firmer and more responsive thru corners...the steering feels like it just rolled off the assmebly line!

So I decide to pull into Lowes to pick up a couple things for the house when all of a sudden my power steering goes and I notice the battery icon lit up on the dash. I pull over and look under the hood hoping that I must have blown a fuse when I looked and noticed that my main serpentine belt is completely off track!

The last thing I want to do right now is get back out in this heat and deal with this! Any ideas on what could have cause this? The only thing that I can think of is that I have noticed a whine recently during acceleration...maybe a tensioner let go. Anyway, I think I will have the car towed to the dealer that did my engine block under waranty 5 months ago and maybe I can position this as a consequence to the work they did.

What a drag after all this work today!

Let me know what you thoughts are on this.

Salty
