98RON fuel vs 95RON (archive)

Over in the UK we have two unleaded fuels...
"standard premium unleaded" = 95 RON
and
"super unleaded" = 98RON (or apparently 97 sometimes)

Just wondering what people thought about one vs the other?
Some seem to say they see no difference, others swear by the higher RON petrol saying they really see better performance and equalish mpg.

Anyone experience in a 7?
