I have seen some replicas come of the same production line as originals. They are made in Bergamo, Italy where the foundry factory builds for BMW, Mercedes, Volvo, Saab, Ferrari, VW etc and other aftermarket suppliers. (lots of wheels are made here though there are other locations) Unfortunately, you need to inspect them in person to be sure. Some replicas are made of sub standard materials, poor machine tools and are unbalanced. Some replicas are actually the rejects that the factory would not accept. These are usually cosmetic painting, or machining blemishes but are sometimes wheels that did not meet factory rotation balance specs. The average person would not be able to tell this but then again probably not notice it either. T.
