My only guess is the fuel pump or fuel filter. They are located on that side. Only a guess. I can't explain why it would quit...

...unless it's plain shot. My fuel pump died at 156k miles, but my guess is that it just reached the end of it's natural life, and that you're nowhere near that mileage. Beware though, fuel pumps weigh in at 150 UK pounds, so over $200? Before labour...
