I don't believe the DRL option was available until the '99 model. I have them on my '99 740iL and was told by the BMW technician this was the first year they were offered.

Sorry to ask this again but, does the 1997 740iL Lamp Control Module have the capability to have a daytime running lights feature turned on? I got a yes from one member, but I need to be sure. Anyone with a shop manual and/or direct experience please respond.
