I don't think so. The new 3er is now available with AWD in the US (for the last year or so). AWD has been an option for quite a while for the 3er, here in Europe, but I never heard of it for the 5 and 7 series.

i was at the car wash yesterday waxing my E-38 when this fellow pulls up in BMW 330 ci probarbly a 2001 model and we are soon talking after he terribly admires my sparkling 7. we talked for a while and then this fellow says that 740 il are 4 wheel drive and told him no, they are rear wheel drives with traction control and self level suspension system, he insisted and even said he read it in a bmw magazine at the dealer when he was buying his 330 ci. since i wanted to be smarter i let him slide ( my mama always told me not to argue if you are not sure). so i made this post to be enlightened about the existence of 4 wheel drive 740 IL.... thank in advance folks
