any input on Voxx wheels -- had their 17" m5 replicas put on this weekend, and balanced on the hunter gps machine--stilll have vibration through the steering wheel at 45-50mph, and then again through the accelerator and drivers seat at 75-80mph -- wheels seem to fit perfectly around the hubs -- whould i just drive them for a few days, and take back for another balancing if needed, or does this mean that i need to put the hub rings onto the car(my mechanic recommends against using the rings, and just using oem wheels, saying that the rings never really get rid of the problem) any opinions from your end?
PTH,

IMO, the E38 looks better with 18" wheels. I have both, the 18's for most of the year, & the 17's (BBS RX fitted with Pilot XGT's for use in the snow). I suggest 18" wheels because tire selection will be larger and tire rotation hight will be closer to 27.4" which is optimal.

See link below for pics of my car. The wheels are 18"

Just my .02 worth.

PS: That warranty babble from the dealer is bullshit. If the BMW Wheel Accessory catalogue indicates a certain wheel is available for your chassis, it will have a specific E38 part # and therefore will NOT affect your warranty, as the wheel would have Munich's approval. Select a set of wheels from either the dealer catalogue or an aftermarket manufacturer. If you go aftermarket, I recommend a company with "TUV" certification.
