I am surprised more drivers/owners don't notice the lack of quality in the Jag. I have owned three 750's, and several Jags, incl.XJR (supercharged), and driven many Lexus LS400's. The Jag just does not have the fit, finish of German cars. The interior materials may look good, but look at the fit, design, and finish. (for instance, the wood on the steering wheel is rough at the ends, and the glove box is often out of alignment to the dash)Filler edges are often used like American cars to cover large clearance tolerances. Exterior trim is outdated construction and design. No doubt Jag's are beautiful, but I think many are bought by Women, unlike BMW. The 750 is very smooth, but you must be very keen on a V12 to justify the small differences. The full leather interior being one very nice touch. Lexus 400 excellent, flawless engineering, but boring. LS430 great improvement, but looks like old MB S Class.

Get a 740i sport..best of both worlds.

Thanks for the thorough and thoughtful response. There is nothing like hearing from someone who has BEEN there.

Geez, I love this board!

Thanks again.

P.S. I still haven't heard any opinions on the PRICE difference between these cars. Is it simply that the BMW costs more because its more desirable? If so, that's simple enough to understand.
