I am urging caution in doing a steering wheel swap yourself. Perhaps I am a big chicken (I have been called far worse), but I would be afraid to screw it up and have an air bag deployment issue. My luck, such an event would occur at precisely the wrong time. For the hour or so to do it right, I'd let the dealer do it.
