No special tools required, unless you remove the rotors (then you will need a allen socket set to torque to spec)
You can use a c-clamp to compress the pistons, just be careful to keep it straight and don't force dirt behind the seals.

You will need a new brake lining sensor if your light is on. You will have to visually inspect to see if it is the front, rear, or both sensors that are popped.

Once you have done the job, turn the key to position 2 for 3 minutes. This will reset the light on the dash.

Good luck.

Check brake light just came on and I want to switch to the Mintex brake pads, I normally change my own brakes by taking the correct size socket and back out the pad assembly and remove the pads and use C-clamp to push back calipers to avoid bleeding the brakes, and reverse my step and pump the brakes to allow new pads to set.

Questions:

1. Will this work on the 740?
2. What style tool (socket, allen key, or hammer) do I need to remove the pad unit?
3. Do I need to order a new check lining signal unit?
4. Is the front or rear the same level of difficulty?

The rotors look fine and I'll change them at the next go around.

Thanks for the reply,

Big H
