I had the same problem with a 98 il I used to own. It was the converters and it was repaired under the CPO warranty (car had 60k miles). No problems afterward.


My 96 740 sometimes makes a rattling noise on acceleration, usually when taking off from a stop or slow coasting position. The car runs fine, dealer wants me to allow them 3 hours to try and diagnose the problem. Car has 85k miles, is anyone else experiencing this problem, any solutions or ideas?
