Don't forget the biggest new feature - the beverage cooler in the rear console :-).

Seriously, if you can get past the looks, I think this car will re-write the rules on what we all expect from a large luxury sedan. All I read are raves from those who have driven it.

I just picked up the new bochure today. BMW rates the 745i/Li at 325hp@6100 rpm and torque at 330lb-ft@3600 rpm, both below the current 750iL's output numbers, but obviously above the current V8's. However, they are putting in a 3:38 rear axle ratio and a 4:17 first gear ratio on the six speed. Together these numbers are good for a 5.9 0-60 time. Also the speed limiter is increased to 150mph (from 128 on the E38.) Personally, I'll never hit the speed limiter in either car, but the incresed bottom end power will be welcomed.
I know..."But it's ugly" is certainly the consensus.
Actually, I think the E65 dashboard is uglier than the new exterior. At least I learned today that you can get it with polished wood.
If it's as quick as they say, and the stereo is worth a damn, then maybe....
