Each key can be programmed for DRL's, auto dooor lock, seat/mirror/steering wheel memory, climate control, and audio memory. For instance, I have my wife's key programmed for auto door lock, but not mine. The car remembers the settings the last time the key was used when it's used to unlock the car again.

Some people don't like the feature along with the Day Light running lights and the automatic door lock ....

So its your prefrence. When I bought my BMW, I got a speck sheet with the options listed that I could set...


BTW: Stop using caps, its a little annoying ;-)
