next for wear. They usally go about the same time as the thrust bushings. If your going slow like pulling in your garage and the front end hits a small bump with both wheels and you hear like a light thud in the front end the lower joints are probally worn. The front end should be tight and soild over small low speed bumps. You shoould just hear the front struts working.



on my "95" 740iL. And let me tell you what. The mechanic used 750 bushings, he said they are stronger and last longer and don't cost any more than 740 bushings. I dont know if that is true or not but it sure feels better and that nauseating shimmy has been eliminated. BTW - the old bushings had 133,400 mi. on them. $75 for the part - $105 for the labor. I don't know how long it took and I don't care. I just went to work, did my job, and then paid for it and picked it up :-)
