In Reply to: (*$%^&*(&^ Whirring Fan in Dash! How to Fix??? posted by MikeH on November 25, 2001 at 12:26:22:

I've always had the "whirring fan noise" in my dash (not steppers, the other noise!!)

Several times I asked the dealer to fix it, they simply ignored my request. Anyway, now it's getting louder and I really want to fix it.

Anyone know how to get to this fan? What typically is the problem and the fix?

Thanks in advance!

You are hearing the temperature sensor fan in your
air conditioning control panel. It draws the ambient air through the little vents in the panel.
I believe only repair is replacement of the temperature control panel.
