The dial is set to the red dot so it’s probably the thermostat. Is this something I can fix myself?

I'm not getting any heat in my 98 740il. I turned up the climate control all the way to 90 but I just get cold air blowing out. Any idea what it could be?

Thanks,

Ed

Sounds like a thermostat stuck in the open position.

I checked my TIS CD (repair manual CD) and replacing the thermostat looks like a do-able job. If you plan on doing the work yourself I would recommend a TIS CD, it's a great help. You can get one from the Central Letter Shop. Their number is probably listed here if you do an archive search.
