I have the BBS RX 18", but have been dreaming of the BBS RSII in 20", which by the way are available in the correct offset for the E38 - but, as you mentioned, very pricey. Lately I've been thinking maybe I'll go with 19" when I upgrade the wheels - BBS, HRE, Breyton, etc. are all interesting.

Seems like the ones you looked at were made for a different car? last time I checked on the BBS RSII 20" for E38 they were something like 20-23mm offset front and 25-ish offset rear (if I remember correctly).

Anyway, good luck! Keep us posted.

you two are great! i am going to pass on these rims b/c they are a marginal deal (not great) and based on my limited knowledge, i would prefer to avoid the headaches.

if you guys recall, i have been searching for a nice setup now for 2 months.... still diligent. my #1 choice is HRE 540's followed by BBS RS2. The wheels in question were RS2's.

Both of these strain my wallet a bit so i am lurking around waiting for a 'deal'.

BIGT- if i recall correctly, you have the BBS?

Thanks again!

Hello guys,

I would like to buy the used set of wheels described below. the million dollar question is do they fit my car optimally or am i making a sacrifice to buy used rims (which i don't want to do)?

I own a '99 750IL.

The wheels are: 18" x 8.5" (front)18" x 10" (rear), the front rims have an offset of 12mm (w/ spacers), while the rears have an offset of 15mm. Fronts are 245/40/ZR18 and the rears are 275/35/ZR18.

Any advice would be greatly apprciated.

Thanks again guys!

Luke
