I have a 1997 m3 and it has had the same squeeking noise now for about 3 years. They tell me it is the shocks, but I do not want to replace it. I just turn up the radio

This is driving me crazy. When the car bounces it sounds like duelling bed springs. I saw someone had posted a response to something simular saying it may be the parking brake cable grommit. I think this sounds more like suspension. Any help is very welcome. Are there other grommits there that need attention and should it be a warranty item?
