Most likely the grommet. Had the same thing and thought it was the rear shocks. i just put a plastic tie strap around the cable and the metal ring and no more sounds! Boy, do I miss my Lexus - sometimes :(

This is driving me crazy. When the car bounces it sounds like duelling bed springs. I saw someone had posted a response to something simular saying it may be the parking brake cable grommit. I think this sounds more like suspension. Any help is very welcome. Are there other grommits there that need attention and should it be a warranty item?
