I posted once before about this, check the archives. As far as I am concerned, they are perfect for the car, Excelent traction, handling, etc...plus a treadwear of 400 as opposed to 220 for most of the other high performance tires. No hesitation in recomending them.
National Tire and Battery can get out out of the door for $1250, that includes road hazard.

I would not however count on these as a winter tire. I have a full winter setup on 16" rims that will go on as soon as the first flake falls.
