is that BMW needs to get some basic things right. Such as the stepper motor, A/C climate control, pixel display problem and post sale customer service. For a luxury car builder, they should replace these items if work never done (say within say 100K miles or 7 yrs). I love my 740i and has put over $7K to make it an even better driving machine. But my other luxury cars had less annoying basic problems (91 Lexus LS40, 94 MB S500). Both manufactures/dealers were more courteous and willing to repair problems, whether it is in or out of warranty.

Having said that, a new or CPO 2001 740i Sport silver on silver would be my choice (or the next gen. Audi S8). I would supercharge the 740i Sport for sure. But probably not through Dinan again, a bit pricey for what you get. Will wait for the "King" Simeon to share his ESS experience.
