Agree with JL on disappointment with BMW. The annoyances with the car which shouldn't happen on this class of automobile, and the totally unacceptable dealer attitude, push me away from BMW. My first car after college was a 1984 Toyota Supra--a 100K miles/9 years later, and the only major problem was a fuel pump, and the fit and finish were impeccable. The BMW is more fun to drive, and great when it works, but a disappointment at the same time. BMW should finish a fabulous design job by going all the way--to use a football analogy--they quit after the first down(sale) instead of pushing for the touchdown (customer satisfaction ensuring return customers). If Toyota still made the Supra, I'd be driving one. And I hate to say that. But I love my car...most of the time... Bob J 96 740IL
