Not to be a smart-ass, but R&D doesn't always get it right, as this discussion board's various postings attest...note the oh-so-usable cupholders and other ergonomic fumbles...

i'm hoping they let such problems make production BECAUSE they were spending the cash towards the rims and other more-than-cosmetic features -
