The latest copy of Bimmer listed some V8 engine problems that made them recommend a 6 over the M62 V8

I quote them:

"The M62 V8 engine, while a wonderful performer, has proven too problematic on the long term foe our tastes. ide......., we're now seeing phantom coolant leaks, oil pump bolts coming loose and causing oil starvation, oil leak problems that are expensive to repair and failures of the oil separator at the back of the intake manifold.
Caught early and maintained well, though, none of these are going to be Earth-shattering."

Has anyone had any experience that they could share?
