I doubt if you'll ever need to replace the timing or cam belts in the M62 as they are, like the macho engines of old, actually timing CHAINS. Only subject to fail if you do extrordinary mods and race the engine at the track (Simeon?). the M62 also has a timing chain tensioner that automatically adjusts as the chain loosens.

At last, something we can all agree on...this one BMW did right.
