The motorola phone in my 2001 740i is a dog......neither BMW N.A nor the dealer has any answers....but this phone just does not work consistently....BMW should be regreting their deal with motorola....i took delivery of this car in july....and i'm awaiting(for more than a month) the delivery of my THIRD phone. i'm back 2 my old nokia 6100. I sincerely hope that u have better luck resolving your problem than i did.
