Maybe a coil pack is bad. My 89 7 still had a cap and rotor, I have not removed the shroud yet on my 95 to see the new ignition...........Thanks James.


If the car in question has a V8, then not likely. There is no cap or rotor and the plugs are fired by dedicated coil packs.

I can't figure out what the noise is, and why it only happens when it rains. It kind of sounds like the car has glass packs on it! It will do it and then stop for a while, and then do it again. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated Thanks.
