I still have a front end shimmy on my '98 740i at around 45-55mph after new wheels, tires, rotors and a Hunter 9700 balance job. Reading through the archives there are a whole lot of E-38's with the same problem. Many have been solved by buying hubcentric wheel spacers. I've just ordered a set from thewheelexchange.com and hope to post positive results on this board once installed and tested. I understand The Tire Rack guys have these available also.

If this doesn't work then I'm afraid the last resort will be new control arm bushings and ball joints.

Happy Holidays and Good Luck!
