Radio "CODE" Procedure (archive)

Hello Guys (and Gales, of course)
We have a BMW 740iL (E32) 1993 model.
The radio unit has gone into protective mode and is requesting the "CODE"
We have the code number but forget the procedure to reactivate.
Can you help us with the process ??
